My Review about it!

Rainbow shake cookie next to a tall milkshake with sprinkles and an open pink Crumbl box behind

This cookie was not supposed to survive the drive home. It sat on the console between me and the driver, the box open, the AC doing its best — and by the second red light we had both agreed that ‘just one bite to check’ was a legal contract neither of us intended to honor.

At $4.49 it is a standard single, and it is served chilled, which in a warm car is a race against the buttercream. We won, barely. It is also, at 880 calories, the heaviest cookie on this week’s menu — a fact we discussed seriously for about four seconds.

The first bite is a milkshake in cookie form: vanilla buttercream, cold and creamy, over a soft sugar cookie loaded with crunchy candy pieces. The candies are the texture — little chocolate pops all the way through, not just on top. My co-pilot’s verdict was that it tastes like a birthday party got into a milkshake, and I have no better description.

We finished it before the highway, and the empty box rode the rest of the way home like a trophy. It is a lot — 880 calories of a lot — but it is the most fun item on the menu this week, and sometimes that is the entire assignment. Keep it cold; warm buttercream is where this cookie goes to die.

What I liked

  • Actually tastes like a shake, not just candy on a cookie
  • Candy pieces all the way through
  • The most fun item on the week’s menu

What I didn’t

  • 880 calories — heaviest of the week
  • Buttercream melts fast in a warm car
  • Sweet on sweet — small appetites should split it

Compared with the Peanut Butter Cup Blondie Cookie: the blondie is warm, dense and peanut-butter heavy, while this one is cold, creamy and candy-loaded. The blondie is a quarter-and-share bar; Rainbow Shake is a milkshake wearing a cookie. Both are loaded — they just argue in different accents.

Loved it! Reminds me of a m&m McFlurry

— Sydney.

Dear God in Heaven I felt the Lord’s presence when I bit into this cookie for the first time. I swore i could see angels descend from the heavens to play beautiful music from their trumpets in my ears and they would not stop until i ate the cookie to completion. Paired with a cold glass of 2% milk, i think i may have experienced pure nirvana. Thank you Crumbl please don’t ever keep this wonderful delightful cookie away from us for more than a month at a time.
