My Review about it!

Halloween sprinkle cake cookie on a paper plate in a living room next to an open pink Crumbl box

Every Halloween party ends the same way: the candy bowl is down to wrapped hard candies, the cupcakes are gone, and one dessert is still standing. This year it was this cookie — and not because nobody wanted it. It was the one I had hidden behind the punch bowl for the post-party audit.

At $4.49 it was the cheapest decoration on the table, and it did double duty — orange, black and purple sprinkles doing more for the Halloween look than the plastic pumpkins I paid actual money for. It is served chilled, which suited a room-temperature party table just fine.

The first bite is cake before it is cookie — soft, vanilla, birthday-cake energy — and then the sprinkles land with a proper crunch against the cream cheese frosting. It eats like a funfetti slice that decided to be a cookie, in the best way. The frosting is tangy enough to keep the sugar in line.

I finished it in the quiet after everyone left, standing over the sink like a professional. At 710 calories it is a real dessert, not a nibble, but split across a party it is nothing. If Crumbl keeps one Halloween item forever, the table has voted: it is this one.

What I liked

  • Real cake-like crumb, not just a sugar cookie
  • Sprinkle crunch against soft frosting
  • Doubles as a Halloween table decoration

What I didn’t

  • 710 calories for a party cookie
  • Sprinkles shed everywhere — the crunch has fallout
  • Best cold; the frosting softens if it sits out

Compared with the Halloween Red Velvet Cookie: the red velvet is warm, cocoa-kissed and theatrical, while this one is a chilled birthday-cake moment in Halloween colors. Red Velvet is the moodier dessert; Sprinkle Cake is the crowd-pleaser — and the only one of the two that crunches.

Simple but knocked my socks off. Do. This. Every. Holiday. Red green is simple but gimme purple green yellow for Fat Tuesday. Red white and blue for all the American holidays (Presidents, Memorial July 4, Labor, Veterans)
