My Review about it!

Caramel apple cookie on a picnic table at an apple orchard next to an open pink Crumbl box

The orchard trip was supposed to be about apples in bags. It ended at a picnic table with cider, a bag of apples at my feet, and this cookie in the middle of the table getting photographed by golden-hour light — twice, because the first shot had my thumb in it.

It is $4.49, standard pricing for a returning favorite, and served warm — the caramel goes glossy as it sits in the sun. At 790 calories it is one of the week’s heavier cookies, which after a day of orchard walking felt less like a warning and more like a receipt.

The first bite is a warm cinnamon apple cookie — soft, spiced like pie filling — under caramel cream cheese frosting with actual chopped Granny Smith apples on top, so you get tart little bursts against all that caramel. The streusel adds the crunch an apple crisp would, and the drizzle ties it to the frosting.

It tastes like the orchard decided to send a dessert home with us. With more than 106,000 reviews behind it, this is one of Crumbl’s proven regulars, and one bite explains the line. Warm, with cider if you can manage it — this is fall’s best argument on the menu.

What I liked

  • Real Granny Smith apple pieces on top
  • Cinnamon-spiced like pie filling
  • Streusel crunch like an apple crisp

What I didn’t

  • 790 calories — near the week’s top
  • Best warm — the drizzle sets when cold
  • Very sweet past the halfway mark

Compared with the Frozen Hot Chocolate Cookie: that one takes hot cocoa and serves it cold under whipped mousse; this one takes apple pie and serves it warm under caramel. Orchard versus fireside — the two coziest items of the week, arguing in opposite temperatures.
