My Review about it!
It was a lazy afternoon when I finally gave in and ordered the Snickerdoodle Cupcake Cookie from Crumbl. It had been sitting on the Country Week menu all week, and I kept telling myself I’d get the chocolate one instead. Cinnamon won.
I got it through the store and paid $4.49. By the time I sat down and opened the box, the warm cinnamon sugar fragrance touched my nostrils. The cookie itself was bigger than I remembered from past visits, with a thick swirl of pale frosting and a light dusting of cinnamon on top.
The first bite is where it won me over. The cookie is soft, thick, and a little cakey, with none of the crunch you get from a thin cookie. The cream cheese frosting is smooth, and its slight tang keeps the sweetness in check, so it never turned into that flat, sugary taste I was bracing for. The cinnamon runs through every layer, and it tastes cozy, more like a bakery treat than a fancy dessert.
About halfway through, though, I hit the wall. It’s a rich cookie, and the frosting is generous. I finished it and needed milk, and I’d suggest you do the same. It’s also best fresh, since the frosting firms up as it cools and the cookie loses that just-baked softness.
What I liked
What I didn’t
Compared with the plain Snickerdoodle Cookie: the plain one is lighter and simpler. This one is the dressed-up dessert version, so pick based on how sweet a mood you’re in.
