My Review about it!

This cookie’s natural habitat is not the kitchen table. Ours arrived at a Saturday park picnic in a 12-count party box, opened on the bench between the sodas and the sandwiches — five friends, a dozen cookies, and the M&M’S ones were claimed before the box was fully open.

It is $4.49, served warm, and the concept could not be simpler: a classic cookie packed with M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies. No frosting, no glaze, no drizzle; just a golden cookie with the candies baked in edge to edge, shells slightly crisped from the oven. Everybody took one; two of us went back for seconds.

Warm, the chocolate inside the shells goes soft while the shells themselves keep their snap, so you get two textures in every bite. It tastes like the best version of a bake-sale cookie; buttery, familiar, and not trying to be anything else. After a week of kataifi, glazes and upcharges, the simplicity is the point.

At 650 calories it sits mid-pack, and it travels better than anything else on this week’s menu. The last one was still good at room temperature two hours later, which is more than the frosted cookies can say. Verdict: the picnic essential — buy the box, not the single, and let people help themselves.

Compared with the Banana Bread Cookie: same price, same warm serve, nearly the same calories (650 vs 660). Banana Bread is soft, spiced and breakfast-minded; this one is a candy run. Take Banana Bread for the coffee morning, this one for the road.
