My Review about it!

Crumbl Dubai-Style Chocolate Brownie in a pink box on the dinner table with cups of black coffee during a family dinner

Friday night was family dinner at our place, and I had volunteered for dessert which is how four Dubai-Style Chocolate Brownies ended up riding home with me that afternoon. It is served chilled, which makes it the rare Crumbl order you can buy early, park in the fridge, and debut after dinner like it was planned all along.

At $7.48 each — the $4.49 base plus the $2.99 specialty upcharge — four of them is not a casual purchase, and they look the part. The boxes opened at the table: a dark, fudgy brownie under a glossy milk chocolate top, with pale green pistachio cream drizzled over it. Cold from the fridge, the chocolate has a clean snap to it.

The first forkful is all about the layers. Dense brownie first, then the crunch — the kataifi inside shatters like fine pastry straw — and then the pistachio filling, nutty and almost savory, which keeps the milk chocolate from turning it into a sugar bomb. It eats less like a cookie and more like a plated dessert. My father, who claims not to like sweets, finished his and asked what the green layer was.

At 1,020 calories apiece, nobody at the table was asking for seconds — one per person is exactly right, with black coffee alongside to reset the palate between layers. Verdict: the dinner-party splurge — buy one per guest, serve it cold, and let the layers do the talking.

What I liked

  • Kataifi crunch that survives the fridge
  • Pistachio filling keeps it balanced, not just sweet
  • Chocolate top has a proper snap served chilled

What I didn’t

  • $7.48 with the upcharge — priciest of the week
  • 1,020 calories; a solo finish is ambitious
  • Only here October 19–25

Compared with the Tres Leches Cake: both are this week’s chilled, upcharged desserts, but they go opposite directions — Tres Leches is light, milky and soaked; the brownie is dense, dark and crunchy. Pick Tres Leches for cloud-soft; pick this for layers and snap.
